The Interior Grasslands Cycling Club offers a friendly environment for recreational road racing and group riding, and promotes youth development through races, clinics, and mentorship.

Founded in 2005 but with its origin in 1972, the Interior Grasslands Cycling Club (IGCC) has grown to be one of the larger community-based cycling clubs in the province. With over 70 members, both young and old, the club includes men and women of all skill and fitness levels, from beginners to advanced riders. Included in our membership are BC Games and Senior Games athletes, national time trial title holders, and world champions. New members are welcome!

July 9 Crit CANCELLED DUE TO SMOKE ADVISORY

The July 9 Criterium is cancelled based on the smoke advisory issued by Ministry of Environment and Interior Health Authority. Please pass this information on to anyone you know that was planning to race.

SMOKY SKIES ADVISORY ISSUED FOR
THOMPSON, SHUSWAP, NICOLA, AND FRASER CANYON AREAS
July 7th, 2015 12:00 PDT– Kamloops. The Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the Interior Health Authority, has issued a Smoky Skies Advisory for the entire Thompson, Fraser Canyon, Nicola, and Shuswap areas because of forest fire smoke that is covering the area. Smoke concentrations will vary widely as winds, fire behaviour and temperatures change.
Avoid strenuous outdoor activities. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, contact your health care provider: difficulty in breathing, chest pain or discomfort, and sudden onset of cough or irritation of airways. Exposure is particularly a concern for infants, the elderly and those who have underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, and lung or heart disease.
This advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
